Overview

Atommek Decanter Machines (decanter centrifuges) are precision-crafted industrial tools designed to separate liquids and solids efficiently. Built from stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, our decanters cover 50–5000 L capacities to deliver reliable phase separation, higher process uptime, and consistent product quality across demanding applications.

What Is Decanter Manufacturing?

Decanter manufacturing is the design and production of equipment that separates liquids from solids using gravity or, more commonly, centrifugal force. Atommek engineers decanters for the chemical, food & beverage, water & wastewater, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, mining, environmental, and energy sectors. Each system is customized to meet process targets for purity, yield, and throughput while improving waste handling and operating efficiency.

How It Works – Process Steps

  1. Material Feeding: Slurry or liquid–solid mixtures are metered into the rotating bowl.
  2. Centrifugal Separation: High rotation accelerates the mixture; solids move outward while clarified liquid remains inward, separating by density.
  3. Solid Discharge: A conveyor transports compacted solids toward the conical end for continuous discharge.
  4. Liquid Discharge: Clarified liquid exits via adjustable outlets for reuse or downstream processing.
  5. Adjustable Parameters: Rotation speed, feed rate, and bowl angle can be tuned to optimize clarity, dryness, and throughput.

This continuous process minimizes waste, stabilizes quality, and supports 24/7 industrial operation.
